Our boys' favorite memories seem to focus on our
years in Cote d'Ivoire ,  West Africa
because of the
warm people
Maybe part of it was the animals
And people always seemed so glad to see us
when we came out to visit
Just driving to Church on Sunday
was always an adventure
The rewards of ministry were
tangible (and edible)
Africans often express
appreciation through food
We all agreed that the blessings
of being a missionary are subtle,
intangible, and ineffable
Our kids learned that fun
doesn't have to cost a lot of money
Undoubtedly the best part for me
was the friends I made and
worked with, the leaders of the
C & M A in Cote d'Ivoire
